Pre-K and Kinder First Day of School Walk-In Procedure

We know that the first day of school is an exceptional time for everyone, especially for students who have never been to school. Elementary parents of our Pre-K and Kinder students can drop off their child curbside through the drive-through beginning at 7:00 AM, or walk them to their classroom at 8:00 AM.

We will have all 1st-5th grade students settle into the building before we begin having PK/KG families come in. Please help us make this day a success by walking only your pre-K and/or Kinder child to the classroom. Upper-grade students should enter the building with their classmates and walk to class independently at their regular arrival time.

This is for Day 1 only. Beginning Day 2, we will move to our regular drop off procedures which are linked below.

Chartwell Morning Drop Off Map

  • DO NOT DROP OFF STUDENTS PRIOR TO 7:00. THIS IS NOT SAFE. Students remain in your vehicle until 7:00 when a staff member is present.
  • Please stay in your vehicles at all times when driving through the drop off line.
  • Morning drop off at Chartwell will be single file.
  • A couple tips: pull all the way forward, students may open their doors to get out on their own. Staff will be available to assist as needed.

Chartwell Afternoon Pick Up Map

  • Pull as far forward as possible so multiple cars can be loaded at once.
  • Have your car tag labeled with your child's name and visible to staff.
  • Put your vehicle in park until it is signaled to move forward by FORES staff.
  • Please be patient the first few days as we work through our procedures and begin a safe and smooth dismissal process.
